Hi beauts!

It's been a long time since I posted a look and I'm so sorry. I love shooting look's and putting together outfits I think will look cute on camera I've just been putting in a lot of time and effort towards my YouTube channel. Trying to come up with cute or fun video ideas so that you can perhaps get to know me better. If you are interested in Vlogs, Lookbooks, Make-up tutorials etc feel free to check out my channel and subscribe if you haven't done so already. Here is the link.

If you aren't already aware I am finally back in my apartment and able to film and record regularly once more. Yass! Finally! So keep a heads up for more looks coming soon! As you know I am a full time Journalism and Media Studies Student, this year specialising in Multimedia and even though my free time is limited it's mostly dedicated to this here little blog in 2017. Feel free to give me suggestions as to new content and what sort of things you'd like to see. I've been slacking in my writing recently and I miss being able to reach out and talk to you guys about trends, predictions and just overall sharing my inspiration.

This look is what I like to call campus chic. Walking around campus all day (and if you're a Journalism student up a hill) can be pretty crazy so I find comfort to be key. Grahamstown has cobbled streets so I tend to be a thick heeled gal if and when I decide to wear heels on campus.

I like to pick leggings and tank tops or jeans and tee's and then use accessories, make-up or in this case a simple shirt to give the outfit a little pop of colour or some texture. Silk/Satin is really in right now and I love the way the light bounces off it when we shoot.

Honestly I've been using this "dress-up recipe" for years and I'm still surprised when people come up to me to say I look cute; "it's just a tank top and leggings!" but this never fails I promise.

I try to always create a balance between baggy and tight, another "recipe" of mine; If one is tight, one must be baggy and I believe it's a cute formula. It balances itself out and if you tend to be a little more conservative about how you dress then it can help you feel more comfortable just to have a cardigan or something over that figure-hugging look. If you want to know more about my formula for how to dress just comment under one of my YouTube videos perhaps that's something I can share more with you guys someday.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and are all having wonderful and productive weeks!

- Jade
